If the item you want to send has a higher value than our standard compensation covers and is less than £1,000, you are eligible to purchase enhanced compensation with your delivery label which will cover the value of your item in full up to £1,000 provided you have complied with our delivery terms and conditions. Please note that our Prohibited Items and No Compensation Items lists still apply. Please check these before adding enhanced compensation to your label purchase.
After you've selected the delivery service, select the Enhanced Compensation option.
The enhanced compensation fee will vary depending on your items value, up to a maximum order value of £1,000, and the amount of the fee will be displayed on the Enhanced compensation box (like the example above) and in your total at checkout. For Hermes, CollectPlus and drop off at Royal Mail Customer Service Point labels, when purchasing ‘Enhanced compensation’ the 80p ‘Proof of delivery’ will automatically be included in your ‘Enhanced compensation’ label fee, as shown in the example above. Both amounts will be included in your monthly invoice.
